Call Us:

I’m Yoshi Malimige

I completed my Master of Counselling Psychology at Adler University Vancouver and am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (RCC#22786). I chose this field because I enjoy meeting new people and supporting them through their challenges as they journey through life.

Currently, one of my interests is working with children and youth, where I am interested in taking an empathetic and strength-based approach to various challenges. I am also interested in working with adults, families and couples while externalizing the challenges that take space in our lives.

In my free time, I like dedicating time to physical fitness because I believe in its benefits towards my overall health, and I also believe that it can benefit others. I am also a lover of playing and listening to music.

My Approach

I seek to be a listener first because I believe you are the expert in your life stories. We will then focus on taking a collaborative approach together, no matter what your challenge is. I believe in working together by taking different perspectives, developing your strengths, and building resilience for the challenges that weigh on you.

I also find importance in addressing the impacts of culture, individuality, family and institutions around us. Informed with social justice principles and diversity and inclusivity at the heart of it.

The following are some therapies and modalities that guide my work; I am keen on using various therapies or philosophies to curate a unique approach to your challenges.

Getting Started

The first step would be to contact me to arrange for a brief telephone assessment to discuss the goals of therapy, ask any questions you may wish to clarify, and to get a better sense of which counsellor would best suit your needs. Once that is established, the counsellor would set up the first meeting.

We offer in-person and virtual sessions
