I’m Angela Pallan

My expertise extends to providing an array of counseling services, helping individuals, couples, families, children, and youth. I hold the distinction of being a seasoned Registered Clinical Counsellor, with a 25-year journey in the field of counselling. I am the senior counsellor and clinic owner.

My credentials include: MA in Counselling Psychology and BA in Child and Youth Care Counselling. I am fluent in English, Punjabi and Hindi

My toolkit encompasses diverse therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a Holistic Approach, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Coaching, Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, Family Systems and Marriage Counselling (Trained in Gottman Level 1 and 2).

Throughout my practice, I have the experience working in the following areas:

  • Individual counselling for various topics (providing strategies to manage anxiety, depression, stress, anger, alcohol/ drug abuse, self-esteem issues, communication skills)
  • Couples Counselling (enhancing communication skills, looking at gridlocked issues, understanding each other’s perspectives, problem solving skills)
  • Family Counselling: (mediation for family/ parent and child to enhance communication/understanding, also assisting families cope through separation/divorce)
  • Child/Youth Counselling: enhancing emotional regulation, providing tools to cope with anger, anxiety, depressive thoughts, ADHD, and many other behavioural concerns)
  • Anger Management Program (providing anger management tools/ skills with a letter of completion for court mandated requirements)
  • Healthy Relationships Program (providing relationship skills such as effective communication, taking responsibility for your actions, emotional regulation, perspective-taking with a letter of completion for court mandated requirements)
  • ICBC related counselling
  • WCB related counselling

My Approach

My approach to counselling is to provide an emotionally safe place for you to talk openly about what issues are bothering you. Through respectful, professional and a friendly manner, I listen attentively to your experiences. I am client-centered and will ask you to start where you are comfortable; dedicating my time to focus on what is troubling you.


Jointly, we will explore your personal issues, determine your goals and develop strategies that work for you. Through therapy, it is my hope that you will move towards a more positive outlook on life and about yourself through empowering you with feelings of wholeness and well-being. I am committed to being a part of your healing process and will support you all the way.

Getting Started

The first step would be to contact me to arrange for a brief telephone assessment to discuss the goals of therapy, ask any questions you may wish to clarify, and to get a better sense of which counsellor would best suit your needs. Once that is established, the counsellor would set up the first meeting.
