I’m Jasmesh

I am a passionate and self-driven psychoeducational practitioner with extensive experience engaging with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. My primary aim is to establish a safe and nonjudgmental space, utilizing various modalities to customize methods and treatments to meet the unique needs of my clients.
I hold a robust foundation of qualifications, including being a Registered Clinical Counsellor (BCACC) and Crime Victim Assistance program Counsellor (CVAP) I hold Double Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Counselling and advanced Diploma in Child Guidance and Family Counselling which demonstrates my proficiency and knowledge in counselling.
Certified in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Emotion Focused Individual Therapy, and Emotion Freedom Technique. I have completed certification courses in the “Provincial Opioid Addiction Treatment Support Program” and “Addiction Care and Treatment” from UBC. Additionally, I am a trained supervisor for MACP students from Yorkville University and City University and experienced in writing counselling assessment. I have certificate in the Search and Teach program from NILD, Virginia, USA.
My skills include handling behaviour issues, working with personality disorders, neurodiverse awareness, blended family issues, crime victim counselling support, conflict resolution in relationship issues, learning disability and confidence building.
I provide client-centered and solution-focused counselling in English, Punjabi, and Hindi languages.
I have broad knowledge of mental health concerns, intervention plans, and treatments. I address various psychological and social concerns. I have experience in individual, marriage, family, and children counselling. Being mother of two young children, I can relate and understand parental struggles and behaviour issues of young children and teenagers.
My diverse background and comprehensive expertise enable me to effectively support my clients in their mental health and wellness journeys.

Getting Started

The first step would be to contact me to arrange for a brief telephone assessment to discuss the goals of therapy, ask any questions you may wish to clarify, and to get a better sense of which counsellor would best suit your needs. Once that is established, the counsellor would set up the first meeting.
